ABOUT CASSANDRA
{Tales of an Inundated Polymath}
I am a mother, a spouse, a budget keeper, an entrepreneur, an activity bus driver, a personal chef and a referee.
I hold a pass for unlimited worry. I am an early riser and I am a night owl, an organizer of things seen and unseen.
I am a daughter, a sister and a friend. I am a spiritual being in a tangible world. I am a seeker of justice, knowledge and acceptance. I am a granddaughter. I am a sensitive and old soul.
I am in perpetual motion.
I am fighting invisible battles; some I win and some I must forfeit.
I am a champion for compassion. I am made of kindness. I am too strong to be broken, but have been bent until I was unrecognizable.
YET HERE I AM, with all of my battered beauty, I am still love.

Thank you so much for checking out my page! This is a conversation dedicated to empowering women of all ages, sizes and walks of life. As women we tend to negatively compare and criticize ourselves, stemming from an impossible pressure put on us by ourselves and OTHER women. LET’S STOP THIS CYCLE! Having three daughters has made me realize the importance of self acceptance and the effect others have on our self worth. Why is it so hard to acknowledge the beauty in other women? What if we admire and uplift each other? If we practice gratitude and admiration, I believe we could all feel less pressure and more secure in what we have been individually blessed with. We all have our insecurities but we are all beautiful in our own unique form. We just need to learn to play up our strong attributes and let go of the ones we are not thrilled about.
I have consistently and obsessively been intrigued by fashion and beauty for as long as I can remember. Throughout the years I have gone from flat broke to indulging a little too much in my obsessions and the vicious cycle continues. I have found wonderful products across the budget spectrum. I have been styling hair and makeup since I was about 13 years old. I have always had a unique touch for providing women flattering hair styles and make up tricks. I also started designing clothing and learned to sew in my free time a few years back. I have accumulated a large amount of superfluous information, inspiration and products and I am happy to share them with you.
When I was 20 years old, I packed up a couple of suitcases, took my life savings ($200) and moved to Los Angeles. I worked as an actor/musician/waitress for seven years. I ended up living in the heart of Hollywood and became attracted to the laid back style and beauty of the women I encountered daily. My style is pretty eclectic; pairing vintage, high fashion, trendy and casual. I also love a good bargain! My understanding husband has built me numerous closets, growing larger as our marriage has progressed.
Like many other thirty something women, I am a working mother of three little girls who refuses to embrace the inevitability of my aging body and face. I will not dress my age. I don’t want to box myself in to the “After 30″ fashion and hairstyling rules. I am at that place where two worlds collide; skinny jeans lending more towards yoga pants, the every day battle between acne and wrinkles, perky in one area (thank you boot camp) and saggy in others (thank you breastfeeding), hot moving scary quickly into “she’s hot for a mom”. With that painful confession, along the way I have found some wonderful little tricks and miracle products to help keep me feeling youthful and beautiful, so that I may be a wonderful example of self love and beauty for my sweet girls to follow. I know it is hard to find the time and money to invest in ourselves, but I hope some of my posts can help inspire you to find that confident, beautiful woman you may have lost somewhere along the road. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or suggestions. Thanks again for your support!
